All basement occupancies are intended to work with other occupancies offered in Commercial Express and should be considered as a second section rather than chosen as a substructure adjustment in the primary occupancy when it is unique, such as a multilevel basement. Construction type is selected based on the type of exterior wall (of the basement), and the type of structural floor (for the first floor).
