All basement occupancies are intended to work with other occupancies offered in Commercial Express and as such, should be considered as a second section rather than chosen as a substructure adjustment in the primary occupancy when it is unique, such a multi-level basement. Construction type is selected based on the type of exterior wall (of the basement), and the type of structural floor (for the first floor). The partially finished basement includes a combination of some unfinished areas with some moderately finished areas.
