This occupancy represents a Quonset hut that uses self-framing steel panels for the structure. The Quonset occupancy includes the arches, end wall, sliding door, and a concrete slab. This occupancy is modeled on a Quonset that has a length that is three times the width. Valuing a Quonset that deviates from the model size will result in the construction cost being either understated or overstated. This occupancy is offered only for the pre-engineered / ISO 3 construction class.
Manufacturers offer several variations of a Quonset hut that include P-series, S-series, and A-series type Quonset Huts. The Quonset occupancy is modeled after a Q-series, which is a continuous arch.
