The aircraft hangar is designed to provide space for the storage and maintenance of airplanes. The airplanes have enough space to park side to side without the wings touching. If a door was present on the back side of the hangar, an airplane could drive directly through the hanger without touching another airplane. Without any changes, this occupancy will assume 1 story and is built on a slab. This occupancy also assumes an 18' story height so that larger airplanes can be accommodated. If handling any of the super sized aircraft, you should make an adjustment to the story height.
