Stanchion Barn

Cows are either milked in a milking parlor, or in the case of smaller operations, the barns themselves. Since the cows need to be restrained during milking, this can only take place in a stanchion barn. Stanchion barns have been listed under the parlor section in order to provide the proper pieces of equipment and the associated costs to milk the cows in the barn. The equipment would include a milk receiver panel, washing system, pulsation system, vacuum system, milking claws, stainless steel milk lines, and PVC vacuum lines.
