The cold storage building is similar to a standard warehouse, except the storage areas are refrigerated to protect the perishable contents. The exterior walls and ceilings are insulated, as are the interior partitions that divide areas of different temperature. This occupancy is different from Occupancy 8220 - Warehouse, Cold Storage in the fact that it has fewer partitions and has less refrigeration equipment. Occupancy 8220 should be used for freezer facilities.
