1550 - Hotel, Limited Service
There are several occupancies offered for both Motel and Hotel. Although there are always exceptions, Commercial Express distinguishes between the two in that generally hotels are found in a city and are more than 5 stories in height and motels are found along the highway or small towns and are less than 5 stories in height. This occupancy differs from Occupancy 1500 - Hotel, Full Service in that it is primarily devoted to short term living quarters with the only common area being a lobby area and a restaurant or bar. The limited service hotel consists of lobby area, guest rooms, and a bar/restaurant.
