1630 - Motel, Extended Stay

There are several occupancies offered for both Motel and Hotel. Although there are always exceptions, Commercial Express distinguishes between the two in that generally hotels are found in a city and are more than 5 stories in height and motels are found along the highway or small towns and are less than 5 stories in height. This occupancy is similar to Occupancy 1610- Motel Double Row and Occupancy 1620 – Motel Single Row in that it is a long narrow building with the guest room entrances available directly from the outside. The difference is that the extended stay motel includes a small kitchen area equipped with cabinets and a sink.
