1560 - Hotel, Older

There are several occupancies offered for both Motel and Hotel. Although there are always exceptions, Commercial Express distinguishes between the two in that generally hotels are found in a city and are more than 5 stories in height and motels are found along the highway or small towns and are less than 5 stories in height. This occupancy is based on assumptions typical for dwellings built prior to 1950. These assumptions affect the materials that the building is constructed with, room sizes, number of stories, plumbing fixtures, electrical allowance, and the number of windows and doors. Compared to Occupancy 1500 - Full Service Hotel, older hotels have higher quality, and more ornate, finishes.
