6125 - Church, Contemporary, High

The contemporary high church is similar to Occupancy 6120 - Church, Contemporary in that the shape can vary between an "L", "T", "V", or other shape that a creative architect can come up with. The difference, however, is that this occupancy includes a higher level of structural ornamentation on the exterior and interior of the building, it is generally larger than 6,000 square feet and the story height is usually greater.

Allowances for church furniture, such as altars, lecterns, pulpits, and seating, are included in the valuation cost. Seating includes pews, chairs, folding chairs, and benches. These items make up 76% of the built-in cost. You can remove this cost and offset the allowance.

To remove the cost of furniture from the valuation:

Generate a valuation detailed report for the valuation.
From the Summary of Costs section of the report, note the amount listed for built‑ins.
Multiply the total built-in cost by 0.76.
Enter the negative value of that total as a custom addition for the location or building section.

Example: 1,000 (Total built-in cost) * 0.76 (Allowance percentage) = 760. Enter -760as a custom addition.
